Travis Taylor

Travis completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Western Australia and in 1995 joined the Taxation and Business Services division of Price Waterhouse (later PwC) Perth. During this time he was involved in the preparation of financial statements and corporate income tax submissions for both public and private companies. In 1998, Travis was recruited to the Corporate Finance division. Examples of his client experience during this time include:

Acting as project manager for an IPO involving a large company operating in the consumer products sector which successfully listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2000.

Managing the disposal of a well known software company, including overseeing sales memorandum preparation, identification of potential investors and negotiations with prospective bidders.

Preparation of a valuation report for shareholders of a prominent quoted insurance company in defence of a hostile takeover bid.

In February 2001, Travis joined the Valuation & Strategy division in the London office of PwC. Shortly afterwards he successfully completed his qualification with the Securities Institute of Australia and was promoted to Senior Manager in July 2002. During his time with the Valuation & Strategy division Travis specialised in valuations for tax purposes, across all industries. One of three former Gravitas Partners brought in to lead American Appraisal's Financial Valuation Group in London, Travis continues to contribute to the significant growth of the UK capability through his own experience and contacts. Travis has written many articles and papers on valuation. He was author of the June 2004 Corporate Finance Digest, a comprehensive guidance booklet entitled "Current Valuation Issues" which was published by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and CCH. Examples of Travis' recent assignments include:
