Nick Anderson

Nicholas qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 with Deloitte Haskins & Sells. His training in audit was primarily in the media sector. In 1991 he began his secondment to the Prague office of Coopers & Lybrand. He focused on working for inward investors from the UK, Scandinavia and the US advising them on the strengths and weaknesses of particular Czech and Slovak companies. He played a major role in building the practice from 10 staff to over 70 at the end of his secondment.

He joined the London valuation practice of Coopers & Lybrand in 1993 specialising in valuations for commercial and tax purposes with a team of 25 staff. Following the merger with Price Waterhouse in 1998 he joined the Intellectual Asset Management practice when he focused on developing his expertise in the valuation of intangibles. Prior to leaving PwC to set up Gravitas Partners, he was a key member of the Consumer Products team where he led the delivery of all intangible valuation assignments.

Following the merger with Gravitas Partners, Nicholas leads the UK financial valuation group, specialising in intangible asset valuation, an area which has grown extremely rapidly following the introduction of IFRS. The practice is a market leader in the provision of purchase price allocation and impairment reviews and Nicholas is one the UK’s most experienced practitioners in the area.
