Ian Gough leads American Appraisal’s industrial valuation practice and fixed asset management practices in London. Since joining American Appraisal in the late 1980’s, Ian has been involved in the valuation of a range of businesses and asset types for multidiscipline and multinational engagements. He has experience of a diverse range of industries including chemicals, petrochemicals, packaging, paper, engineering, pharmaceuticals, food and drink, textiles, high-tech manufacturing, leisure, and telecommunications.
Ian specialises in the valuation of industrial and commercial property, machinery and equipment such as oil and gas plants, refining sites, all types of transportation, chemical processing plants, hotels and mining extraction sites. He is widely considered one of the UK's leading practitioners in his field and regularly writes and lectures on valuation topics. In addition to his work with American Appraisal, Ian is also involved in the following organisations:
