John Barnsley - American Appraisal

John is the Non Executive Chairman of American Appraisal in the UK and is Non Executive Director on the Main US Board of the Holding Company of American Appraisal Associates. In addition to the customary responsibilities associated with his roles, John acts as a mentor to the most senior group of Executives and has first hand relationships with the Group's clients in circumstances where this is desirable.

In addition to his work with American Appraisal, John is also Non Executive Director of several other significant organisations including:

	1987 to 1997 - Non Executive Director Tyne & Wear Development Corporation
	1996 to 2002 - Non Exec Chairman London R&D Committee NHS

	2002 to date - Non Executive Director Northern Investors Company PLC
	2005 to date - Non Executive Director and Chairman KCS plc
	2006 to date - Senior Independent Non Exec Director & Chairman of Audit Committee Leo Capital PLC

Before accepting appointment to this portfolio of Non Executive roles, John was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he was a key member of the Executive Team for over 20 years. He was responsible for global management of the firm whilst also acting as the Tax and Corporate Finance adviser to some of PwC's most distinguished clients.
